A legendary yakuza once labeled a killer and sentenced to death for the murder of 18 of his rivals.
Before returning to the Tojo Clan, Saejima has made two efforts to return to prison to clear his name once and for all. However, in 2012, after the news of Goro Majima's death reached him in prison, he escaped once again to see if the rumors were true for himself.
It was then that he was swept into the war of five cities alongside Kazuma Kiryu.
Regardless of his escapee status, he is a pillar of the Tojo Clan, supporting Daigo Dojima.
